I've had my DualShock3 controller for less than 4 months and I've noticed the right analog stick have been rough. When you rotate all the way in circles, it feels not so smooth and it bothers me while playing games like Super Stardust HD, which requires much use of the right stick. I think this game was the cause of it being rough. I checked under the right stick and can see scrape marks and plastic dust. It had been chewed into by the edges while you rotate. I simply blew air onto it to get rid of the loose plastic and sprayed 1 time of WD-40 right under the stick and immediately notice extreme smoothness when rotating. It's smoother than a brand new controller. It's amazingly "liquidy" smooth. I sprayed onto the left stick also, and 3 more of my controllers. Solution works perfect!
