Gatorade Powdered Mix vs. Regular Gatorade

December 25, 2008

I've been drinking alot of Gatorade lately. It's good. Expensive too. Then I found I could buy gatorade powdered mix (see post). The powdered mix says to mix with 16.9 oz of water, that's .5 L, same as regular size Deer Park water or this water. I found the best way to mix it to use an empty Gatorade 32 oz bottle, pour one powdered mix into the 32 oz. bottle, then pour the spring water bottle into it and shake. I also shook the store bought 32 oz. Gatorade and can see a difference. There is more foam created on the store bought Gatorade than the powdered mix. There is also a difference of taste too. The mix is very watery, flows fast down. The store bought is smoother, fluid-like, thicker liquid. The flavor taste pretty much the same, powdered mix fruit vs. store bought fruit. Overall I am a little dissapointed, but you get what you pay for and companies like Gatorade knows that.
