Nintendo Sells 2.04 Million Wiis In November

December 12, 2008

It's unbelievable, the Wii is still selling strong, 2 million in the US last month. Beating out Sony and Microsoft. I just don't get it. It's not HD, there are really no good games, poor games sales throughout the year, why does the system keep selling? It's already hard enough to find it at $250 because many online stores who have it sell in bundles for over $300. Why do people buy it? The Wii does not look good on an HDTV, it may look alright on a standard def TV, still the graphics suck. I have the Wii and I haven't turned it on in a year, so has my son and his friends that come over. The PS3 and the 360 take over. I think that the Wii sells because there are many Americans, especially parents who are entering Videogames for the first time who still don't have an HDTV, are buying it and they love the idea that you swing the remote to play, wiggle your hips to move on the WiiFit...so much work for hardcore gamers. Plus it's much cheaper than the PS3 and 360. Actually the 360 lately has seen some good prices over the holidays with bundle sets under $200, an HD gaming system with many great available games, sold well and became out of stock. People just have no idea what they are getting into, they see the Wii commercials and think it'll be fun, if they are lucky and find a Wii to buy, they'll soon know how boring it will become. The game sales statistics prooves it. Once you go HD to the PS3 or 360 with quality games, you will definitely not go back to the Wii.
