After reading a post from iClarified about a hidden Matrix code on the iPhone 3G, I decided to see if it was on mine. Sure enough the same looking tag was found, however it is different in pattern from the pictures at iClarified and Engadget's posting. You can't see it under the naked eye even in bright light. I used my night vision camcorder to see it and take snapshots. What could it mean? Serial #, IEMI ?
