Street Fighter: The Legend Of Chun-Li Short Review

March 02, 2009

The Legend of Chun-Li deserves a short review. It's not a great movie. There's nothing awesome about it. The acting is bad from all the cast. Movie is poorly made that Kristen Kruek, who play as Chun-Li, wakes up and sees Gen and calls him out and says "Ken". Not "Gen". Listen to her carefully, for real she says the wrong name. The included cast from SF are, Chun-Li, M. Bison, Balrog, Vega, Gen, Ken, Rose. Most have small parts and tells nothing about them. In the game, Gen is large and old...but this movie shows him as skinny and younger looking played by Robin Shou who trains Chun-Li. Rose should be an older woman, not a teen. Chun-Li is shown in the beginning of the movie as a very asian little girl, how did she grow up 15-20 years later to looking not asian? That 15-20 years later, all the other casts looks the same, no aging at all. How rediculous. Chun-Li's fireball should be blue/yellow, not red/purple. Stupid producers, stupid directors, they can never get anything right. Makes the "Real" Chun-Li look bad. Dissapointment  for the fans of the game. The old Street Fighter movie starring Van Damme was better because it was fun. This was pretty boring. So how did it do at the box office? $4 million, that's it.
